PRP HAIR LOSS THERAPY

What is PRP?

PRP or Platelet Rich Plasma is a non-surgical treatment that can be used to treat thinning hair in both men and women. PRP stimulates growth and regeneration of hair follicles using natural sources from your blood. Stimulating hair grafts with PRP can enhance graft survival, improve hair density and stimulate the growth. PRP offers a bioactive cellular treatment for alopecia, with platelet-derived growth factors.

Who is a candidate for PRP?

Patients with androgenetic alopecia, medication-induced alopecia, or age-related hair loss are ideal candidates for PRP therapy. Patients typically have a series of PRP treatments to give the optimal benefits.

How is PRP administered?

A small amount of blood is taken from the patient and is carefully separated into a platelet-rich injectable serum. Once prepared, the serum is injected into the scalp in the areas where there is hair loss and thinning hair.

How long does it take before results are noticed?

Results may begin to appear several weeks after treatment, however, it can take up to three months for the results from PRP therapy to become fully visible. It is recommended to have a series of PRP therapy treatments for optimal results.
